Keep your office cleaned and organized
Apparently, up to 77% of Americans feel like disorganization has a negative impact on their productivity at work, and 53% say disorganization demotivate them.
Follow these steps to get your office organization under control
1) Use storage for everything to create a minimalist decor
When you don’t have a proper place to put items, the space will look cluttered. We should only see what you can call “decorations”. Everything else needs to be hidden.
2) Get rid of what you don’t use
It makes sense right? Accumulating stuff “just in case” is usually a big problem when storage is an issue. If you don’t have the space for an item you don’t use, relocate, sell or trash it!
5) Organize your cables
Cables are truly an eyesore and can accumulate dust so quickly.
Hide them in a pvc pipe, a cute box, a basket etc… Make sure your cables are untangled. It’s also smart to label them so you don’t have to unplug several ones before you found the right one 😊
6) Don’t eat at your desk
Please don’t. Eating at your desk create too many opportunities for messiness: crumbs, wrappers, dirty dishes, sticky hands etc.
Make a habit to always eat at the kitchen table.
7) Cleaning everyday
At the end of every day, take 5 minutes to clean around your desk, reorganize the space a little. Make it a game and time yourself. Do as much as you can in 5 minutes
Conclusion
Having a clean workspace will boost your performance and will make your life much easier.
